MultiTrack DAW App Reviews

good app

I like this app, its the only multi track we have for Ipad as far as i know. I would like to see a build in eq, reverb and compressor. Add autotune and some fun plugins and a base to share peoples songs and youll be surprised how well this app will sell.

Please add effects

This is a swell app for the price. I agree with other reviews that it needs effects (reverb, etc.). Also, i would appreciate a metronome track because my timing isnt awesome.

Wheres The ECHOs!!!!!!!

only if there were Echos for voice recording or distortion on effects but this app is not rip-off

Nice update, but...

Pros: - beautiful interface - tracks sync perfectly - timely updates Cons - Bug: with with headphones on, close one song then open another and you have to unplug and replug your headphones. - No effects (chorus, delay, reverb etc as seen on the VocaLive app) *** Id buy these as in app purchases, or take them for free :) ***

No longer compatible

Please contact Alesis and request that they upkeep their drivers for their Pro Track adapter that plugs into the iPod and allows for 2 xlr or 2 1/4 inputs - mono/stereo input - phantom power - limiter - gain volumes - on board mics - led level meters. It was working with the iPod 4 and this app but since the last update it no longer works. The iPod does not even acknowledge that it is plugged in. I have contacted Alesis and they said that only iPods up to 2nd gen were supported. They may appeal to my request but u suspect with more requests from other users hey would be more willing to go forth with the updates. If you havent tried or seen the Pro Track adapter for the iPod check it out on their site. There arent many interfaces like it.

Needs A Bit More

I would really like to see sharing to FaceBook so my friends can hear my music and tell me what they think. Much easier than email too. A little bit more effects would be nice too except FB sharing is a must.

Great App...

I have used this app to its fullest. It needs some mixdown effects, simple things to warm things up a little like reverb, flange, delay etc... other than that it is a fantastic tool to get my pre production / new song arrangements and ideas into place where ever i might be. Well worth the money. I would pay more for additional effect upgrades, lets hope DAW does so in the near future.

$10 well spent

This app is amazing... perfect for recording on the go, sharing tracks and collaborating with other people that have it...

10 out of 5 stars

Best money ever spent on my iPhone since my iPhone itself. Easier to use than any desktop daw and when I throw my beats by dre on just as good monitoring too. Practically real time but software driven. The GUI is intuitive and precise not like other music apps. For the 10 dollars I expected a lot less but I what I ended up with was an real recording suite. I have found the only multitrack daw I will need to purchase as the updates are frequent and the dev team is always there. The ability to actually import iPod songs is a must for anyone laying down freestyles on your favorite instrumentals and if you get a few headphone splitters you can even get battles and cyphers down. Its essential for any hip hop artist. The input options are amazing and if you use any you will end up with some quality tracks. Even the built in mic is amazing when using this app. I use this with apps like rhthymn studio to import my patters or full songs to really get a song going.

Multitrack DAW

I have been using this awesome app since initial release, and it just keeps on getting better. The new bus fx and master fx rock! This app is truly a slick pocket multitracker for musicians, and makes my guitar music recording a pleasure. My iPhone has gone to the moon and back, because of Multitrack DAW .. Thank You!

Thankyou-please!

Thanx for the fx and master bus. Please automate the faders and fx. This is still a beautiful thing! Also, it would be perfect if there was midi core integration for timecode syncing.

Clean interface, TONS of power

Incredible program! So much functionality and so very many features. This app started out already being my Goto app for multitrack mixing on iOS... Now, as the devs have tirelessly been upgrading the capabilities, this thing is an absolute MONSTER. Tough to find any fault at all with this one. Wish I could give it 6 stars

Love It!

Ive tried them all. This is by far the best multitrack out for iOS. Love it!

The Best

5/5 The best app out there!!!

Best available

Hands down the best multitrack app out there. Continuously updates free of charge.

3.1.6.2 NO FIX, WONT OPEN with OPEN FIX

Updated to 3.1.6.2. ver. and now wont open,,,,,,,,,,,You went backwards guys as worked up to now no problem.

Exceptional!

This app. Is worth every penny of the 9.99 that it costs. Simple to use. Operation is intuitive and what may not be readily apparent is easily figured out through the built in help (a rarity in many apps.)! I like the feature of being able to adjust track volume and master volume input during recording. I recorded my friends rock band using one track with the usb Snowball mic. from Blue microphones and the app. automatically switched from mono to stereo on my chosen track. The sound quality is well defined in all ranges. (the Snowball had a lot to do with the definition). Effects are all there for mixing and work well. I give this app. a five star.

Update

In future update a button to duplicate would be nice and also the implementation on animation for effects and so on, a filter would be nice also. A limiter on master also. LOVE app. Keep up the good works and updates. Also Cubase release a IOS app. Something for you to look at.

The Daw that set the standard.

I use this Daw to track on because the input source for some reason is the cleanest and clearest of all my recording apps. Some app sound muddy when connecting directly with your live mic source requiring some EQ just to be able to stand listening to the tracking but not Multitrack Daw. The input is crisp, high gain and no noise capturing crisp sonically pleasing recording. Everyone needs this app no matter what app you use. Canadian Music Producer Cheers ~~_/)~~~

Good app, simple, some limits though

Seeing as ive made lots of records in many different studios over the last 35 years ( from 2" analogue tape days to present day high end digital boards and Various DAWs ) i know at least a little about recording guitars, drums, bands and stuff so if your into pro level recording heres my 2 cents on my ipad 4. First off, yes you can record high end pro quality on an ipad as long as you have a quality 24 bit digital audio interface and common sense. If you have these then the skies the limit and dont let anyone tell you any different. Of course the real big boy studio is still the best ( 2" tape rules ) and if you can afford it you should do it ( but its expensive like a ferrari and when the record company pays, actually you pay so remember this ). Anyhow, the reality is It always comes down to the persons ability and experience ( everyone has a pen and paper at home but very few will ever write a novel or draw like rembrandt ). All in all i would say it will never be 100% as good as the best studios but in most cases 95% will do. With that in mind this Ios App is very well executed and simple. For general use I highly recommend this app as it is more than capable of producing acceptable multitrack recording of useable quality. I also like how you can play it over airplay on your stereo via apple tv if your audio interface is elsewhere ( but keep in mind only a stereo mix can play this way because multichannel out is to much info and will cut out / drop etc) . For much higher level of recording abilities and look familiarity i highly recommend the AURIA app in stead. Its a far more professional styled app and meant for serious recording. Of course I have both and if you record music on an ipad so should you. Basically if you know next to nothing about multitrack audio the this app will be perfect for most users and if you are experienced in the recording studio already then Auria is definitely the way to go. As an aside, -the Audio copy / paste standard need to be updated to 24 bits as it tunicates everything to 16 bit at present. -Audiobus is a welcome and overdue addition to IOS. ( To bad Apple didnt think of it).
